Called the Austin Musician Rideshare Program, the brand-new advantage will enable artists to prevent the dreadful look for a parking area in downtown Austin and to probably dump their equipment at the place, instead of down the block at a parking area.
“It’s tough and pricey to park downtown, even harder for a working artist carrying equipment, ” Empire Control Room owner, Stephen Sternschein, stated in a news release . “ Parking tickets, towing, and mishaps can (and do) consume every dollar a regional artist simply made on phase. We should do whatever we can to repair this.”
As of press time, Lyft just noted 3 Austin-based places as partners with the program: Stubb’s, Empire Control Room, and Antone’ s. On Twitter, the ride-hailing app stated it didn’ t have a total list of locations all set.
We wear ' t have a complete list yet, however if you have a'location that ' s interested, simply click the link at the bottom of the page!
